Ridgemont Highlands’ outstanding stallion Dynasty ended Saturday in style, with his progeny capturing the final two races at Turffontein on Saturday.

Front And Centre

Dynasty’s beautifully bred daughter Dame Kelly, who ran third in the G3 Three Troikas Stakes as a three-year-old, collected her third career win when landing an assessment plate on Saturday in convincing style.
The Highlands bred four-year-old, a full-sister to Listed Syringa Handicap second Fly Phillippa, stormed home to post a 1.1 length win for trainer Ormond Ferraris and the latter’s grandson Luke in Saturday’s 1600m contest. Now a winner or placed in 15 races, the beautifully bred Dynasty daughter was a R200 000 buy from the 2016 National Two Year Old Sale.

With Dame Kelly landing Saturday’s ninth race, it was left to another of Dynasty’s progeny, Jubilee Line, to prevail in Turffontein’s tenth and final race. Jubilee Line, one of two winners on the day for jockey Piere Strydom,  took his earnings to just shy of R500 000 when he ran out a convincing 1.4 length winner of Saturday’s last race for trainer Fabian Habib.

Jubilee Line, who started the 16-10 tote favourite for Saturday’s race, has now won five. Out of the Jallad mare Jabulani Jive, the gelding is bred on the same Dynasty/Jallad cross as G1 winners Eyes Wide Open, It’s My Turn and Liege.

Stormy Destiny

A former July winner and Horse Of The Year, Dynasty is enjoying another fantastic season with his current star performers including the 2018 G1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas winner Front And Centre, the progressive Noble Secret, G1 Paddock Stakes/Majorca Stakes runner up Lady In Black and G3 Three Troikas Stakes winner Storm Destiny.

(Dynasty’s triple G1 winning son Jackson also enjoyed a notable double over the weekend, when responsible for winners at both Borrowdale and Scottsville).
